The Business Analyst I is responsible for the ongoing support and enhancement of their respective application and process areas. They work closely with functional management, super-users, and individual users to enhance the value of using Oracle applications in support of the business. They also provide production support for questions, problems and issues that arise. They work closely with the global implementation teams to ensure that changes in the production environment are coordinated and that newly implemented sites are transitioned smoothly into production support mode.



1. Works with functional management, super users to identify areas where Oracle applications can support and enhance business processes.

2. Troubleshoots questions/problems from the user community with Oracle Application issues.

3. Assists and communicates with super-users on a regular basis to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and information to provide 1st level of support.

4. Assists with the installation and testing of new functionality to existing test and production systems following the Oracle setup documents.

5. Assist with month-end closing processes as related to Order Management.

6. Opens Service-Now Request when application problems cannot be resolved.

7. Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.

8. Participates in implementation activities as needed, including backlog entry, data cleansing, training, etc.

9. All other related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager


This position has an impact on the business. The performance of this person and the decisions they make can impact hundreds of Oracle application users and can have an impact on the transaction processing of the company.


o Internal: Works with all levels of management and line-level associates, in both IT and the respective functional areas they support.

o Working knowledge of Oracle ERP applications, specifically related to Order Management and Shipping functionality.

o Knowledge of personal computers and personal computer software application packages.

o Working Knowledge of ERP fundamentals.

o Ability to train and provide support to Oracle application system users as related to Order Management and Shipping.

o Ability to perform system troubleshooting of Oracle Order Management and shipping functionality.

o Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with business units and other associates.

o Ability to maintain/create new and updated How-To documents.

o Good Organizational Skills.

o Self-starter, team player a must.

o Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.


o Working knowledge of Oracle Order Management and Shipping prefered.

o B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information systems is desired.


o An equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
